What Is It

Unless it's very small, any enterprise that is 15 years old or older probably suffers from common problems. Siloed systems that were developed independently are not integrated. Systems use outdated technology, and business functions are still paper-based. Enterprises need a strategy for getting a much higher return on their investment in IT resources. Systems should be developed according to an enterprise-wide plan and architecture, replacing or modifying siloed systems, and automating paper-based processes.
Our Approach

An enterprise modernization project is often a long-term exercise and in many cases might never be fully completed across the entire enterprise. Therefore, the initial focus must be on:

  • The highest-priority issues that will provide the largest ROI.
  • Important issues that can be resolved relatively quickly so the enterprise sees improvements happening fast.

We begin by preparing an inventory of existing systems. We assess the degree to which each system is integrated or functions independently. After that, we:

  • Work with business and IT stakeholders to identify the most critical business processes, extent of automation, and overall satisfaction with the systems that support the processes.
  • Perform a technology assessment to determine where modernization might be needed.
  • Prepare a report of our findings, along with recommendations and a strategic plan for correcting the problems.

Following acceptance of the plan, we move into implementation.
