VBIMaps™ Solution
VBIMaps is Johnston McLamb's interactive mapping application that enables you to start enjoying the benefits of visualizing your location-based data within just 10 weeks. VBIMaps uses mapping tools that are built into Oracle Application Server (OAS) and Oracle Database. If you already license OAS and Oracle Database, then you're ready to go. No additional third party software licenses are required, so you can maximize your investment in Oracle technology.
Unlike many other types of mapping applications, VBIMaps is web-based. All you need is a web browser. It's also highly interactive. You can change both the map and information displayed as you view it. No more rerunning reports or waiting on a specialist to regenerate the map each time you need a change.
Among the features available:
- zoom in and out
- drag the map to different locations
- apply data filters to display only the data that meets the criteria you specify
- view objects within polygons you draw
- and many others
The data source for VBIMaps doesn't have to be an Oracle database, unless that's what you prefer. VBIMaps is highly adaptable to just about any data source, whether it's Oracle, SQL Server, an XML file, or some other source.
